Parklane lights up Christmas tree

Cebu Parklane International Hotel recently lit up its Christmas tree, an annual tradition of the hotel that signals the start of the Yuletide celebration.

This year, like in the past, the hotel’s Christmas is with a cause, this time it is dedicating the season to the children with cancer. During the ceremonial lighting, it turned over the proceeds of the “Christmas Trinkets,” a fund-raising event which was started early this month.

The entire hotel is adorned by decorations made out of soda cans or the Christmas trinkets, which are sold for P250.00 or P400.00, depending on the design. The price is equivalent to a vial of the medicine the cancer patients at the Cancer Warriors Foundation-Cebu Chapter need.

Attending the event were Cebu Parklane’s Board of Directors with its General Manager Cenelyn Manguilimotan, DOT 7 director Joshur Judd Lanete, retired DOT 7 Director Donnie Roa and Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale. – (PR)
