Bluewater Maribago celebrates Earth Day

Like it does yearly, Bluewater Maribago Beach Resort joined the Earth Day celebration with a number of water activities such as scubasurero, paddle for earth, coastal clean-up and others.

“Bluewater Maribago Beach Resort joined the rest of the world in celebrating our love for Mother Earth in My BlueARTh - An Earth Day Family Festival,” read the statement of the resort.

Earth Day is an annual event celebrated every April 22nd to demonstrate support for environmental protection and awareness. It was first celebrated in 1970, and the year after that, more than 200 countries worldwide including the Philippines have joined the rest of the world with various kinds of celebration.


In Bluewater Maribago, the highlights include coastal clean-up participated by guests, volunteers and resort workers, Scubasurero led by Project BLUE, Huni sa Hangin - Chime Making Contest by the resort’s different departments, Pledge Wall for the Earth, Music Fest by 22 Tango Recording artists: Wonggoy, Silingan ni Felicity, My Dragon Eats and Catfood and Lourdes Maglinte, and Paddle for the Earth - SUP Race with the help of Lapu-Lapu Stand-Up Paddle Club.
