Review: Max’s Fried Chicken

If you are tired of the usual fast-food chicken and have enough money to try another chicken menu, you can head off to Max’s.

That was what I did last week, thankfully I had a gift certificate for one whole Max’s fried chicken given by a friend. Although I have already tried their chicken a few times in the past (I am a chicken person, and will always go for Jollibee’s chickenjoy, it being cheap and of course, crunchy and all), I was excited to sink in my teeth again to Max's “sarap to the bones” specialty.

Verdict: It was, as usual, good. I love the skin, it’s got that crunchy feel; and the meat is soft and juicy. Did I just say I love crunchy chicken? The order also comes with fried sweet potato, which can be a good substitute for rice. I still ordered fried rice, though. You know, the rice eater in me.

So yeah, when again I crave for fried chicken that’s not chicken joy, I will no doubt have another whole fried chicken at Max’s. That is, if I have the extra cash. The whole fried chicken is P548 including the fried potato. That’s about four complete sets of fast-food chicken meals with upsized drinks. But you are eating in an almost-fine dining style, so the money should be out of the question, and if you are dining alone, you can bring home the left-over chicken.
