Yobob Lechon de Cebu on Friday opened its first stall in Manggahan Restaurant in Lahug Cebu City.
The name may not be new, as Yobob Lechon has already been in the business for six years, but this is the first time owner Paul Jake Castillo has finally decided to go full blast on this business.
Yobob started out in 2010 when Jake’s friends from Manila would order lechon from Cebu. Orders came in on a regular basis, until the former Pinoy Big Brother housemate launched his own brand name. It was through this when Yobob Lechon de Cebu was conceived.
And six years later, the brand competes with other famous lechon names in Cebu, the lechon capital of the country.
But according to Jake, theirs is the “original-tasting lechon”, which is meticulously prepared with “secret herbs” and spices. He said the crispiness of the skin of Yobob and the soft, tasty meat are just a few of the qualities why Yobob has become a favorite of their customers.
Yobob Lechon has classic (P550 per kilo) and spicy (P599), both are served in Manggahan.
